The story of this song is originated in one month. In the same month, the artist both recovered from 3 months of Long COVID and met someone special, as he says, for the first time in 6 years, and that’s when he wrote Brave. He wanted to capture that feeling of relief and joy at awakening from a challenging period. Brave is rare in Progressive House right now because like Eric Prydz “Opus” it has a long intro that takes the listener on an intimate journey. After hearing the demo, Austin Kramer immediately DM’d the music producer to sign it to his TBD label. The last single of MRKO, “Dark Ocean” hit #4 on the Beatport Progressive House Hype 100 chart and placed on the 46K follower “Progressive House 2022” playlist.

Biography of MRKO
MRKO is an LA based producer and DJ who’s sound spans from Progressive House to Nu Disco who’s last single, “Dark Ocean” ranked #4 in the Beatport Progressive House Hype 100.
At an early age he fell in love with The Police, James Brown and Parliament Funkadelic, but later made the switch to electronic music after discovering Blog House artists such as MSTRKRFT, Justice and The Bloody Beetroots. Previously he toured under the moniker Materializer including a performance at South by Southwest.
MRKO’s latest productions draw inspiration from Lane 8, Camelphat, Gorgon City, Disclosure and Kasablanca.
